To hold a garden tour, you need a garden tour program. And a good garden tour program needs a good cover design.

An illustration of vibrant orange flowers, submitted by Richard Nangano, a seventh grader at the Charter School for Applied Technologies, was selected at last week’s Town Board meeting as the winner of the annual Ken-Ton Garden Tour program cover contest.

Designs by Niyonna Cunningham and Jessica Laspada were given honorable mentions, while CSAT teacher Valerie Fiore was thanked by Town Supervisor Anthony F. Caruana for running the contest.

This year’s garden tour is scheduled for July 18-20. Organizers also announced that the popular Night Lights tour will be extended to two nights: July 18 and 19 from 8:30 to 11 p.m.
