The Village of Springville will dedicate its historic Community Clock in the newly redesigned M&T Bank Park, East Main and Mechanic streets, at 11 a.m. Dec. 7.
The dedication marks the completion of a community wide project that included a Concord Historical Society fund campaign that raised more than $40,000, and a $250,000 grant through the New York Main Street Program.
Mayor Bill Krebs said the program grant has created an incentive for more than $1 million of investment in the village.
The park is on the site of the landmark Farmers National Bank building that was purchased by M&T Bank. Recently, M&T Bank donated an additional parcel to increase the size of the park. The Community Clock there features programmable chimes that will sound for the first time at noon following the ceremony.
