FREDONIA – Village officials will review an engineering report on the possible installation of a pumping station in the Pomfret North End Water District. About 15 homes are served by the water district, which was formed by the Town of Pomfret and purchases water from the Village of Fredonia.

Village Board members agreed Monday to hire their own engineering consultant to see if a pumping station would cause any adverse effects. Residents of the homes have been complaining about low water pressure since new water lines were installed this summer. Tolman Engineering of Jamestown will review the study at a cost not to exceed $1,000.

Village officials agreed to trade three used vehicles for another with the Schultz Auto Group. Two cars and a truck, formerly used by the police department were traded for one 2005 Dodge Ram Truck. No cash was exchanged in the trade for the vehicles.
