Erie County sheriff’s deputies have charged a Town of Concord woman with aggravated driving while intoxicated, after accusing her of registering a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 percent following a two-vehicle crash late Friday afternoon.

Deputies said a vehicle driven by Cheryl R. Merlau, 47, of Concord Road, was westbound on Genesee Road in the Town of Concord at about 4:40 p.m., when she attempted to make a left turn onto Kern Road in front of an eastbound vehicle. The two vehicles then collided.

Deputy Ken Hetey charged Merlau with DWI, aggravated DWI and failing to yield the right of way, according to police.
