Black 47, McCarthyizm and Barleyjuice are among the 10 bands that will provide continuous music on two stages Saturday during the 13th South Buffalo Irish Feis at the Peter J. Crotty (Cazenovia) Casino.
Dancers from Clann na Cara and Rince na Tiarna will entertain between band sets in the evening.
The day starts at 11 a.m. with the Blarney Bunch, followed by Johnny Hart and the Mess, Stone Row, Cosain, Crikwater, the Celtic Spirit Pipe & Drum Band, Forthlin Road and Anthems. McCarthyizm will take the stage at 6:10 p.m., followed by the internationally known Celtic rock band Black 47 at 7:50 p.m. The evening’s music ends with Barleyjuice, at about 9:35 p.m.
There will be plenty to keep youngsters busy, including Madd Matt’s laser tag, a climbing wall, face-painting, caricatures and temporary tattoos. The South Buffalo Rugby Football Club will kick off its 16th season with a match that starts at 2 p.m. behind the casino against rivals Lockport Gang Green.
A basket raffle and food by the Blackthorn restaurant, Imperial Pizza, Conlon’s, Potter’s Field, Big Tim’s Fries, Abbott Pizza and the Brick Oven Bistro will be sold. Admission is free. No coolers or dogs will be permitted. Check out www.southbuffaloirishfestival.com.
