The Clarence Schools Enrichment Foundation is donating nearly $33,000 to the Clarence Board of Education for the reinstatement of six high school clubs, four middle school clubs and one middle school sport.

The foundation, a nonprofit formed to keep enrichment programs in Clarence schools, began a $200,000 Restoration Initiative when voters rejected the initial 2013-14 school budget, and the district eliminated nearly 60 extracurricular sports and clubs. So far, the foundation has given more than $70,000 to restore 14 extracurricular clubs and six sports teams, according to Victor Martucci, president of the foundation’s board.

A list of activities still without funding can be found at the foundation’s website, www.clarenceschoolfund.org.

Martucci said the group will continue its fundraising efforts to reach its goal of $200,000.
