Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy III will be in Buffalo Wednesday at a fundraising event hosted by attorney Terrence M. Connors.
The Massachusetts congressman, son of former Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy II and grandson of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy of New York, is expected to draw a large crowd of prominent local Democrats to Connors’ North Buffalo home.
“It’s a fundraiser, but also a chance for him to meet and greet a lot of people in the area,” Connors said, pointing to a number of “Buffalo connections” already maintained by the first-term congressman.
Connors said several prominent local Democrats are expected to attend the $250-per-person event, including Rep. Brian Higgins, former Reps. Henry J. Nowak and John J. LaFalce, and former Erie County Democratic Chairman Joseph F. Crangle.
Crangle was a close associate of Robert F. Kennedy during the former attorney general’s run for the U.S. Senate in 1964 and his presidential campaign in 1968.
