WILSON – An Ide Road man was arrested near his home about 4 p.m. Saturday with a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit and an open container of vodka in the back seat of his car, Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said.

Charles P. McCausland IV, 41, was pulled over after authorities spotted his car being driven on the shoulder of the roadway, deputies said. McCausland’s blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.26 percent, deputies said.

The Wilson man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, driving on the shoulder and having an inadequate muffler.
