A man was stabbed early Saturday while on his porch in the city’s University Heights neighborhood.
James Minter, no age available, told police he was sitting on his porch on Dartmouth Avenue at about 3:40 a.m. when a man approached and asked him for marijuana. Minter told the man he didn’t have any, police said.
That’s when the attacker pulled out a knife, according to police.
“Give me what you got,” the man said.
A fight ensued and Minter suffered a one-inch puncture wound to the left side of his abdomen, as well as swelling to his forehead, according to police.
The attacker fled and Minter was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, where he was treated and released. police said..
