Buffalo fire officials are investigating two separate fires Saturday that caused an estimated $170,000 damage.
Firefighters were called at 1:27 a.m. to a vacant, 2½-story structure at 1436 Michigan Ave., between East Ferry and East Utica streets, fire officials said. The fire started on the first floor and extended throughout the building, which included a storefront and residence in the rear. Damages were estimated at $80,000.
The second blaze occurred at 11:15 a.m. in a two-story, occupied house at 30 Worcester Place, in the city’s Grider neighborhood. Damage was estimated at $60,000 to the building and $30,000 to its contents.
No injuries were reported.
