A Stevens Avenue man is facing charges after police say he got into a fistfight on West Chippewa Street early Sunday, refused officers’ orders to leave, then resisted arrest and tried to kick out the window of a police car.
Central District officers said Malcom J. Young, 27, got into a fight on the Chippewa strip shortly after 4 a.m. closing time of bars. Officers ordered Young to leave, but he refused and then tried to push past them. And when police tried to handcuff Young, he wouldn’t cooperate, police added.
Police also said Young, who threatened officers, faces charges including obstructing governmental administration, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and harassment.
