Two East Side residents reported that burglars stole a pair of diamond rings, thousands of dollars in cash and a safe containing five handguns sometime Saturday morning from their home on Goulding Avenue, according to Buffalo police.

The victims told Northeast district officers that the thefts took place between 9:30 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. Saturday at a home on Goulding between Wohlers Avenue and Humboldt Parkway.

It’s not known how the thief, or thieves, got into the home, which was ransacked. Taken was a 110-pound safe containing the five handguns, worth $2,500; two diamond rings valued at $5,300; and $4,200 cash kept in two bedrooms.
