Twenty-one people were arrested following an underage drinking party overnight Friday at a home on Clarence Center Road in Clarence.
About 12:15 p.m. Saturday, several deputies from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division raced to the scene after fielding a complaint about a large drinking party that had gotten out of hand – including a rock hurled through the window of a vehicle, officials said.
Deputies said they found large amounts of alcholic beverages and drunk teens in a garage. Some, they said, had fled through a rear door while others ventured into the house and refused to unlock doors to let deputies in. Authorities also said fights had broken out inside the house.
The partygoers were charges with underage possession of alcohol and face appearances in Clarence Town Court. Another was charged with attempted assault for slamming the door on a deputy, breaking a window. One suspect was charged with disorderly conduct and another, harassment, after landing a punch to someone’s face.
All vehicles parked in a private lot across the street from the party were towed from the scene, deputies said.
