A driver traveling northbound in the southbound lane of the 219 Expressway was arrested early Saturday morning, and later was found to have a blood alcohol content of more than three times the legal limit, Erie County Sheriff’s deputies reported.

After receiving the call about the wrongway driver, deputies discovered Casey L. O’Brien, 27, of Concord had driven into the median about 1:15 a.m. He was taken to the Springville substation for arrest processing, and that is where his blood alcohol content was tested to be .27 percent, deputies said.

As his processing was being completed, he became combative, and he was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment, deputies reported.
