A Ketchum Place man is accused of robbing a person at gunpoint early Saturday on the city’s West Side.

Jeremy John, 19, is charged him with robbery, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. The robbery occurred about 12:46 a.m. on West Avenue near Bird Avenue, Buffalo police said. The gunman threatened to shoot the victim with a .22-caliber rifle, then truck him in the mouth with the rifle and stole a cellphone and $40 in cash.

The gunman was caught behind a home on West Avenue, said police, who added that they also seized 35 bullets, a magazine clip and a drug scale.
