ROYALTON – An 18 year-old Gasport woman told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies Sunday that a lighted cigarette was thrown at her, she was grabbed by the hair and punched, then pushed to the ground following an argument Wednesday on Fisk Road.

The victim was found with bruises on her upper right thigh and scrapes to her right knee, according to deputies.

Colette C. Scherrer, 35, of Fisk Road was questioned by deputies and admitted she had been drinking that night and lost her temper, investigators said. She was charged with second-degree harassment with physical contact and issued an appearance ticket.
