MEDINA – Two people arrested late last week in Medina were charged with possession, sale and distribution of marijuana following a two-month investigation by Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force and Medina Police Department.
Police said they raided apartments at 510 West Ave. and 228 Eagle St., seizing more than a pound of marijuana, a stolen handgun, rifle, more than $2,500 in cash, scales, packaging materials and other drug paraphernalia.
Roderick S. Griffin, 31, of Eagle Street, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, and other ounts of criminal sale and possession of marijuana, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. He was arraigned in the Town of Ridgeway Court and remanded to Orleans County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
Kelly A. Moriarty, 34, of Eagle Street, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. She was arraigned in Town of Ridgeway Court and held in lieu of 10,000 bail.
A third person also is being sought in the case, police said.
