Two men kicked down a door to a Grand Island residence and stole more than $12,000 in property and cash, but were later apprehended, Erie County Sheriff’s deputies reported.
Robert Rovison Jr., 18, and James “Little Jimmy” Mysliwiec, 21, both of Grand Island, were arrested Wednesday and charged with several felonies and misdemeanors.
They are accused of forcibly entering through an outside door and kicking in a bedroom door, then stealing jewelry, shotgun, rifle, gun case, laptop, $4,000 and a statue worth $5,000.
The two are charged with burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, all felonies, as well as one count of criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.
