Two men and a woman were literally caught in the act of burglarizing a residence in the first block of Hayden Street at about 1 a.m. Friday.
The three were arrested after police allegedly found their getaway vehicle, parked in the driveway of the home, containing two stolen hot water tanks, aluminum heating duct work, copper piping and a number of burglar’s tools.
Charged were: James Ames III, 20, of Ramona Drive; Anita Muraco, 19, of Norwalk Avenue; and Zack Koch, 23, of Hayden Street. They all face charges of second-degree burglary, which carries a possible 15-year prison term, third-degree grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, possession of burglar’s tools and obstruction.
Police credited neighbors of the burglarized property with assisting in the case.
