MEDINA – A Park Avenue resident suspected of growing marijuana along a wooden fence next to his home was arrested Thursday by the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force and Medina Police.

James E. Hobbs, 67, was charged with unlawfully growing cannabis and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was arraigned in the Town of Ridgeway and released on an appearance ticket for an Oct. 6 court date.

Police said they seized 20 marijuana plants and some harvested marijuana.
