LOCKPORT – Few details have been offered by police about what led to a shooting that injured a Lockport man on Tuesday, but a day later a Buffalo man was in custody.

Anthony J. Ervin III, 29, was charged Wednesday with first-degree assault and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in City Court and was remanded to Niagara County Jail.

The victim, Christopher Williams, 44, was shot in the leg at 1:30 a.m. at 92 Spalding Street and taken to Erie County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. He was treated there and discharged.
