WHEATFIELD – A homeowner in the 7500 block of Pendleton-Wheatfield Townline Road told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies Wednesday that sometime overnight, between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m., someone removed a lock from an enclosed trailer and took $5,047 worth of tools.

A few of the stolen items, a planer, a sawzall and two roof guns were found near a tree to the north of his residence, but more than $4,500 in tools remain missing. Deputies said footprints were found near the tree which led to the trailer.

Stolen items included multiple jack hammers, chop saw, band saw, roof gun, jigsaw, sawzall, router, planer, nailers, staplers and a compressor.
