A 58-year-old motorist was charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop early Wednesday in the Town of Tonawanda, Erie County sheriff’s deputies reported.
Joseph Sardo, who lives in the Town of Tonawanda, was pulled over at Delaware and Knoche roads for failure to drive on the right side of the road, deputies said. Sardo was intoxicated, deputies said, and refused to submit to a chemical breath test to determine his blood-alcohol content.
Sardo was charged with DWI and failure to drive on the right side of the road. He was issued tickets and released to a third party, pending an appearance in Tonawanda Town Court.
