NIAGARA FALLS – A Niagara Falls man said after he left a friend’s house he was beaten and robbed as he was walking to his vehicle at 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of North Avenue.

The 49-year-old victim told police two men jumped him and repeatedly punched him in the face. He said the men knocked him to the ground and then removed a prescription bottle of hydrocodone and $200 from his pockets.

One of the men was described as six feet tall, weighing 230 pounds, and wearing a hooded bubble jacket; the other is 185 pounds and about five feet, six inches tall. The men fled along Lockport Street, according to the victim.

The victim was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center to be treated for swelling on his face.
