LOCKPORT – A Lincoln Avenue man was charged after he allegedly was at an apartment building with a butcher knife and kicked out two windows just before 7 p.m. Sunday in the 6500 block of Lincoln Avenue.

Nahshon T. Hughes, 34, was charged by Niagara County sheriff’s deputies with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct with violent behavior. Deputies said he was intoxicated and uncooperative. He was held on $750 bail and a return court date was set for Tuesday in the Town of Lockport Court.

Deputies said they broke up a fight between Hughes and another man at 6:21 p.m. Hughes had allegedly pulled a knife on a man and was punched by the victim. Deputies told Hughes to leave.
