NIAGARA FALLS – Niagara Falls narcotics officers and the Niagara County Drug Task Force, along with the Lewiston K-9 unit, raided 455 and 484 19th Street at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Niagara Falls Narcotics Division Capt. David LeGault said, “These are not big dealers, but we’ve had tons of complaints. This particular block has been a problem for awhile.” He said no drugs were seized in the houses, but police are trying to send a message by repeatedly raiding such houses.

However, they shut down one house. Once inside 484 19th Street police found the furnace was broken. Propane tanks being used for an unapproved propane heater were strewn around the house. A building inspector responded and temporarily condemned the house until the furnace is fixed.

Laquil Hilson, 19, of Stevens Street, Buffalo, was found leaving one of the houses with a quantity of crack cocaine and marijuana and was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a criminally controlled substance.
