Four men were robbed at gunpoint early today during an encounter with a smaller group of men on William Street, according to Buffalo police reports.

It happened at about 2:45 a.m. in the 400 block of William, between Spring Street and Castor Alley.

The victims told Central District officers that they were approached by three men, one of whom had a handgun. As the gunman pointed the weapon at each victim, his two accomplices searched them, officers were told.

The robbers then ran off with unidentified property taken from each of the victims, who live elsewhere in the city.
