LOCKPORT – State police in Lockport have charged a former North Tonawanda man with failing to file and report $16,000 in personal income he gained from collecting scrap metal from various locations in Niagara County.
Thomas L.S. Deponceau, 27 of Chesapeake, Va., was arraigned Thursday on two counts of third-degree criminal tax fraud, both felonies.
He allegedly failed to file and report his personal income in 2010 and 2011, which totaled more than $16,000.
Deponceau was arraigned in the Town of Cambria before Town Justice Amel S. Jowdy and was remanded to Niagara County Jail on $2,000 cash bail. He then appeared in North Tonawanda City Court.
