LEWISTON – A man stopped for driving erratically exhibited bizarre behavior, which led to charges according to Niagara County sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday night on Ridge Road.
Richard A. Buckow, 29. of Dickersonville Road, Ransomville, was charged with failure to keep right, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance outside its approved container.
Deputies said they began to follow Buckow after he crossed over the center line and nearly struck an oncoming vehicle. They said he was fidgeting in his seat as he was questioned and deputies said he appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
A glass stem pipe commonly used to smoke crack was found on the floor and a clear baggie with 12 methadone pills was found in the vehicle.
