An early-morning fire caused $135,000 in damage to an Amherst home, and forced four occupants to flee, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters were called to 62 Cascade Drive at 5 a.m. today. A fire started in the second-floor bedroom on the right side of the 2-1/2-story duplex, officials said.
The four occupants of the home escaped without injury. The fire was contained to the right side of the duplex, although the left side sustained smoke damage, officials said.
Damage was estimated at $85,000 to the house and $50,000 to its contents.
The cause remains under investigation.
The Ellicott Creek Fire Co. was the first at the scene. The Getzville and North Amherst fire companies assisted.
