NIAGARA FALLS – A 42-year-old Pierce Avenue man told police that his apartment in the 2400 block was ransacked and burglarized sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning, while he was out of town.

The victim said his D.J. equipment, which consists of a turntable set and CD player, was missing from the living room. Also taken was a laptop computer and digital camera. A bedroom door, which had been secured by a deadbolt, was forced open and the door frame was splintered. Missing from the bedroom was a 50-inch television and a quantity of jewelry. A 42-inch television was missing from another bedroom.

Outside doors were secured, but a window found open is believed to be a point of entry.

Total loss and damage were estimated at $2,400.
