NIAGARA FALLS – A Target employee was accused of taking nearly $2,000 from her cash register over a month and a half.

Gabrielle K. Granto-Gibson, 20, of 67th Street, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny at 5:20 p.m. Thursday.

The store loss prevention specialist told police that since May 2, Granto-Gibson had taken a total of $1,930 in cash from her register. She was observed on 11 instances removing cash and hiding it in her phone case, leaving the cash register total short at the end of her shift.

Prior to her arrest on Thursday she was observed counting cash and putting something in her phone case. When Police charged her they took the phone, removed the case and found two $100 bills.
