Only the driver was injured Thursday morning when a car plowed through the front of a house on Pine Street in Buffalo, according to police.

The car was traveling west on Broadway, shortly after 7 a.m., when the driver lost control. The car cut across a field, sideswiped a tree and knocked over a sign before going through the front of 296 Pine St., a police spokesman said.

The driver, a man whose name was withheld by police, was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment. No charges have been filed, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
