LOCKPORT – A man yelling and disorderly in an apartment building in the 6600 block of Lincoln Place got out of control when he was put into a sheriff’s patrol car just after 3 a.m. Monday.

Matthew W. Neal, 30, of Ash Street, Scranton, Pa., was charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana after he was taken into custody and found to have a small bag of suspected marijuana in his sweatshirt pocket.

Deputies said when they arrived he was screaming and yelling. They said when he was put into the patrol car he started banging his head on the patrol car partition.

Deputies said they tried to bring him under control using pepper spray, which they said made him even more out of control, and caused him to threaten deputies as they drove him to the jail. He was brought under control by corrections officers at the Niagara County Jail.
