WHEATFIELD – A traffic stop was made by Niagara County sheriff’s deputies at 2:20 a.m. Thursday after a driver was observed swerving in and out of the eastbound and westbound lanes on Niagara Falls Boulevard near Sy Road.

Lori A. Poulos, 45, of 98th Street was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after eight white pills fell out of her shirt, which she said were “hydros” and after she told deputies she didn’t have a prescription for the narcotic painkiller.

Deputies also charged her with driving while intoxicated, as well as moving from a lane unsafely and refusal to take a breath test. She was also charged with drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle after deputies found a beer bottle stuck in a boot on the rear floor.
