Wednesday, 7:30 P.M.: Just Buffalo Literary Café featuring poet Ansie Baird and poet/translator Jennifer Grotz. Baird, the Poet-in-Residence at Buffalo Seminary, won the White Pine Press Poetry Prize for her 2009 volume “In Advance of All Parting.” Grotz, an associate professor of English at the University of Rochester and the assistant director of the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, is the author of the collections “Cusp” (Houghton Mifflin/Mariner Books, 2003) and “The Needle” (named one of the “best five books of poetry of 2011” by NPR, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) as well as numerous translations of French language poetry into English.
