A parent and seven minors were arrested just after midnight Sunday at an underage drinking party in the Town of Clarence, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said.
An anonymous tip on the Underage Drinking Tip Line led sheriff’s deputies to a residence on Keller Road. Deputies detained some partygoers who tried to leave in their vehicles and others who ran into a wooded area in the backyard.
Stephen Langley, 45, the homeowner and parent of one of the minors, was charged with giving alcohol to a person under 21 and acting in a manner to injure a minor, both misdemeanors. He is scheduled to appear in Clarence Town Court on Aug. 7.
The seven minors were charged with unlawful possession of alcohol.
