ALBION – A 27-year-old Rochester man was arrested Thursday after a year-long investigation of the sale of crack cocaine in Orleans County.

Luke L. Lawhorn of Copeland Street, Rochester, was taken into custody by the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force and Rochester police on Lyell Avenue in Rochester. Following his arraignment before Orleans County Judge James P. Punch on four counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance he was remanded to the Orleans County Jail.

Supervising Investigator Joseph F. Sacco said Lawhorn had been slated to “graduate” today from the Monroe County Drug Court where he was assigned after a 2011 drug arrest in Rochester. Orleans County District Attorney Joseph V. Cardone and Sacco said the investigation into cocaine trafficking in Orleans County is continuing.
