A 22-year-old Orchard Park man is facing a minimum of 13 charges after a series of car burglaries and thefts.

Jeffrey E. Ciesla faces six felonies, four misdemeanors and charges of criminal trespass, unlawful possession of marijuana and criminally possessing a hypodermic needle. He could face more charges.

The Orchard Park Police Department’s investigation began June 2, when it found a truck burning in a field on Southwestern Boulevard. The next day, police determined the car had been stolen June 1 from Accent Stripe paving and asphalt on North Benzing Road.

The investigation proceeded through two weeks, and it was discovered two more vehicles had been stolen from the same business.

Tuesday at about 3:15 p.m., police executed a search warrant at Ciesla’s home on the first block of Iroquois Drive. In addition to materials stolen from the cars, police found 11 grams of marijuana.

Police believe Ciesla had help in his crimes and are continuing their investigation.
