NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – Josiah Davis, 22, and Laura True, 28. both of Niagara Falls, Ont., posing as the grandchildren of an 86-year-old woman they alleged mugged Saturday night in the parking lot of Casino Niagara, charged with robbery and fraud when they allegedly tried to collect on some of the elderly victim’s accounts at the Toronto Dominion bank branch on Dorchester Road here Sunday afternoon.

Niagara Regional Police charged them with robbery, attempt to commit an indictable offense of fraud under $5,000, possession of proceeds obtained by crime, possession of a credit card knowing it was obtained in the commission of an offense and possession a forged document.

According to Niagara Regional Police the elderly victim was in her car in the parking lot when Davis knocked on her window, said he needed help and then mugged her and stole her purse and got into a getaway car drivien by True.
