HIT THE ROAD – Buffalo City Mission hosts its eighth annual Motorcycle Run for the Homeless on Saturday in Gratwick Park on River Road, North Tonawanda. Registration is at 11 a.m. The 50-mile ride through Niagara County starts at noon. When the riders return, there’s a barbecue dinner, music and raffles.

SHIPS AHOY – All 114 entries have been sold out for more than two months for the Western New York Offshore Powerboat Association’s annual Buffalo Poker Run on Friday and Saturday, but boat lovers are invited to take a free look at the performance boats when the event kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday at Templeton Landing in Erie Basin Marina.

Saturday, boaters will launch from Erie Basin Marina at 10:30 a.m. to collect poker cards along a circuitous route that winds up at Mickey Rats Beach Club in Angola.
