SHELL GAMES – Speaking of eggs, Tifft Nature Preserve, 1200 Fuhrmann Blvd., will be holding “Spring Egg-Stravaganza: A Celebration of Animals That Hatch From Eggs” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

There will be crafts, stories, nature walks, egg dyeing with natural dyes for those who bring up to six of their own hard-boiled eggs; live animals that hatch from eggs, including amphibians and reptiles; and outdoor games, weather permitting. Snacks and treats will be available for purchase.

CELEBRATING HOPE – The Jes Breathe Cancer Awareness Committee holds a dinner and dance, “Dancing 4 Hope,” from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday in Classics V Banquet Center, 2425 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst.

The selection includes small pots of geraniums, wave petunias and New Guinea impatiens; six-packs of begonias, dusty millers, dwarf marigolds, petunias and alyssum; and a variety of 10-inch hanging plants.
