BATTER UP – The Miracle League of Western New York, which provides opportunities for handicapped children to play baseball, will take registrations for the 2014 season from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Island Lanes, 1887 Whitehaven Road, Grand Island.

TIME WARP – History will get turned upside down for a special April Fools program from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site, 641 Delaware Ave. Adults and youngsters are invited to explore the rooms and exhibits to find modern items that don’t belong there. There will be prizes and drawings, and special activities for kids.

TAKING A STAND – Disability rights advocate Alec Frazier will lead a discussion about his experiences in advocacy in the Person First Forum series from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Museum of disABILITY History, 3826 Main St., Eggertsville.

Frazier, who is enrolled in the master of arts disability studies program at the University at Buffalo, has been an advocate for the disabled since he was in elementary school, and as he says on a YouTube video, “I don’t let my disabilities define who I am.” His talk is free.
