ITEMS AND NOTIONS – St. Francis of Assisi Church, 73 Adam St., City of Tonawanda, is holding a gently used jewelry and accessory sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Admission is $2.50 and includes coffee and a bagel or other breakfast goodies. Offered will be some vintage pieces, costume jewelry, purses, hats and scarves. Proceeds benefit St. Francis of Assisi School.

The Women’s Association of Maryvale Drive Presbyterian Church, 425 Maryvale Drive, Cheektowaga, holds its annual Harvest Holiday Bazaar from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be Thanksgiving and Christmas items, handmade gifts, sewing crafts, a candle corner, homemade baked goods and white elephant tables. A lunch menu also will be available.

St. Casimir Parish, 1833 Clinton St., will hold a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Parish Center.

The Women of St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, will host their 20th annual craft show, bazaar and trash ’n treasures sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will begin serving at 10:30 a.m.

FILL THE FREEZER – The Bowmansville Ladies Auxiliary holds a meat raffle and theme basket auction Saturday evening in the Bowmansville Fire Hall, 36 Main St. Doors open at 6. Raffles start at 7. Admission is $5 and includes beer, wine, pop, coffee, pizza and snacks.

The Cambria Volunteer Fire Company holds its annual turkey raffle and party from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday in the fire hall at 4631 Cambria-Wilson Road, Lockport. Pork and beef loins also will be raffled. Concessions open at 6:30, and drawings start at 7. Admission and refreshments are free.

The Ladies Auxiliary of Joseph Hriczko Post 6245, Veterans of Foreign Wars, is hosting a meat raffle Sunday afternoon in the post clubrooms at 29 Clemo St., off Clinton Street between Fillmore Avenue and Babcock Street. Doors open at 1. Admission is $5 and includes a roast beef sandwich, beer, pop, coffee, snacks and desserts.

OUT TO EAT – The Friday fish fry and this week’s special – meat loaf – will be served from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Father Justin Council, Knights of Columbus, 2735 Union Road at William Street, Cheektowaga. Karaoke night will follow from 7 to 10.

Niagara Hose Company No. 3, 74 Wheeler St., City of Tonawanda, will hold a chowder sale beginning at noon Saturday. Chowder will be ready at noon. Cost is $4 per quart. Advance orders are accepted for customers who drop off their own container.

Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church will hold its 17th annual theme basket auction from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the OLP Ministry Center, 86 Burlington Ave., Depew. Admission is $6 and includes 25 auction tickets. There also will be door prizes. Food and adult beverages will be available for purchase.

Many Hungarian food items and pastries will be offered in the chance auction and bake sale beginning at noon Sunday in the Hungarian-American Social Club, 860 Tonawanda St.

Second Chance Sheltering Network holds a chance auction Sunday afternoon in Main-Transit Fire Hall, 6777 Main St., Amherst. Doors open at 1 p.m., and drawings start at 3:30.
