CALL OF THE WILD – Conservation will be the theme of a special program at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve, 93 Honorine Drive, off Como Park Boulevard in Cheektowaga. A roundtable discussion will explore the writings and theories of Aldo Leopold, considered by many to be the father of wildlife management and America’s wilderness system. ONE OF A KIND – It’s not easy to find clothes from Midwest-based designer Mark Roscoe, who specializes in unusual textures and patterns, but fashionable Western New Yorkers will get their chance at 6 p.m. next Monday in Salvatore’s Italian Gardens, 6461 Transit Road, Depew.

Roscoe, who began by designing bold men’s neckware, then expanded into women’s couture, will be showing his creations and offering them for sale in a benefit evening sponsored by the Boys and Girls Town of Italy, Western New York chapter, which is observing the town’s 50th anniversary.
