Buffalo Harbor

Exhilarating waves,

Glorious sun,

This is the place

To have fun

Or just relax,

Ignore the facts

Of everyday life.

Here by the water,

There is no strife.

Buffalo River (Creek),

Union Ship Canal,

Oh! Take a peek.

There’s some of the Erie Canal!

Lake Erie stretches south to infinity,

The Niagara River tumbles north to its destiny.

Who could ask for anything more?

Our waterfront is the stuff of lore!

– Joyce L. Wilson
