April 26, 1959 – Feb. 12, 2014

Vernon B. Mostiller, an environmental engineer at the University at Buffalo, died Feb. 12 at the Veterans Affairs Western New York Healthcare Center in Buffalo. He was 54.

Mr. Mostiller was born in Buffalo and graduated from Lafayette High School.

He served in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of staff sergeant.

He was awarded the Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award and the Air Force Overseas Long Term Ribbon while serving in Germany.

Mr. Mostiller was a member of the CSEA.

He is survived by a daughter, Gizelle; and two sisters, Darlene Turnage and Stephanie Hines.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 555 Northampton St.
