Services were held July 30 in Buffalo for Christine Imperi, a clinical education specialist, who died July 19 in the Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, Fla., following a battle with leukemia. She was 40.
Born and raised in Buffalo, the former Christine Royce never forgot her roots on the city’s West Side.
A graduate of Lafayette High School, she studied at Trocaire College before beginning her career as an echocardiogram technician with Kaleida Health at its Gates Circle facility.

A sports fan, she was fiercely loyal to her hometown teams, the Bills and the Sabres, as well as the New York Yankees.
