Anna Maria “Ann” Sorci, of Amherst, an investment broker with Key Corp., died Monday in Buffalo General Medical Center after a short illness. She was 61.
Ms. Sorci began working at Goldome in the Sheridan Harlem office in the 1980s and continued there after KeyBank acquired it.
She retired in May.
Kemper Financial Services named her to its Executive Council in 1994 in recognition of her customer service and financial expertise.
Born in Buffalo, she was a 1971 graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Buffalo State College and was working toward a master’s degree when she decided to change careers. She was a life insurance agent before joining Goldome.
An Amherst resident since 1971, she was a parishioner at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church.
Known for her sense of style, she enjoyed decorating, gourmet cooking, fashion, travel and the theater.
Survivors include her companion, Thomas Ebner; and a sister, Catherine Toni.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Christopher’s Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd., Town of Tonawanda.
