LOCKPORT – A North Tonawanda man who pleaded guilty in November 2011 to a drug felony, risking nine years in prison, was granted a reduction to a misdemeanor with a probation sentence Monday after succeeding in the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment.

Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas congratulated Bryan M. Dychowski, 26, of Nash Road, whose plea was reduced from third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance to seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The time since his plea will be credited toward his three-year probation, and he still must complete a drug court assignment.

Dychowski sold oxycodone in North Tonawanda Aug. 25, 2010. He said, “I’ve come a long way, and I’m not that same person I was in 2010.”
